62. Go see Windsor Castle

Towards the end of November 2009, my university friend visited us in London. She had been living in Helsinki for the past few years and decided to come to London for some shopping and culture. We took her to see Windsor Castle as part of a day trip to the countryside.

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It’s also the official residence of The Queen.

At Windsor Castle you can see the State Apartments with treasures from the Royal Collection, St George’s Chapel, and Queen Mary’s Dolls House – a miniature masterpiece.

Getting to Windsor Castle is a short train ride away from London.
