74. Go see the Henley Rowing Regatta

The Henley Rowing Regatta is one of the quintessential events of the British ‘summer season’.

Conducted on the Thames in the village of Henley, the event is certainly an event to be seen rather than to see.

The rowing takes on a secondary focus as the well-heeled sip champagne in the stewards enclosures and everyone else settles on their picnic rugs for an afternoon of Pims, cider, beer and good food.

A great day out and Mother Nature put on a show with glorious sunshine.

Although the Henley Makiki nightclub area was tempting, a strategic exit is needed for the long walk back to Henley Station and then the journey back into London.
