Only a short walk from home and sitting just north of the City of London, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant is a restaurant with a social conscience. The concept which Oliver started in 2002 combines a top class restaurant with an opportunity for disadvantaged young people to gain training in a professional setting helping to transform their lives.
Since then Oliver has gone on to open another three restaurants in Amsterdam, Cornwall and Melbourne.
Scott surprised me on my birthday by taking me out to dinner at Fifteen (Trattoria). With an Italian menu, the meals that we tried had a distinctive rustic flavour and the restaurant itself had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Given all monies from meals go towards the Fifteen Foundation, fine dining has never been so good.
