29. Go to La Fromagerie in Marylebone

In a rather spontaneous visit, we treated ourselves to a second breakfast at the renowned La Fromagerie after missing a train from Marylebone Station.

La Fromagerie

Renowned as being one of the best cheese shops in England, La Fromagerie didn’t disappoint. Set up as a quasi grocer store/ quasi tasting cafe, it is the cheese room that is the real highlight.

The cheese room is set at a constant 10 degrees Celsius, a strong aroma of cheeses from all around the world greets you as soon as you enter. Immediately you are transported to a farmhouse in France and the choice is amazing.

Given we were short for time, we settled back into the tasting cafe for a dairy treat. We chose the farmhouse breakfast, consisting of a portion of goats cheese, a combination goat/cow cheese and sheep cheese, with prosciutto, speck (ham), yoghurt and bread on the side. Note: the smoothie was a little bit on the small side for the price.

La Fromagerie Breakfast

It was all very delicious (particularly the sheep cheese) and has satisfied any near term cheese cravings we may have had.
