51. Go see the Cabinet War Rooms

"I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat" Winston Churchill

Under some of London's most notable Government buildings, lie the Cabinet War Rooms, the headquarters of Winston Churchill's operations during WWII. It was in these very rooms where Churchill and his advisers spent countless days and nights strategising to win the war and sheltering from German attacks.

When the war finished in 1945, desks were tidied, lights switched off and doors bolted. The rooms remain exactly as they were 50 years ago and one is transported back in time to experience the brutality of war.

Attached to the war rooms is the Churchill Museum - a modern museum showcasing the life, trials and tribulations of Sir Winston Churchill.
