81. Visit Bath

Late last year, my friends and I decided to hire a minivan and drive to Bath and see Stonehenge along the way (which is number 86 of my 101) list.

The drive to Bath from London takes a bit over two hours with much of the time spent trying to get out of central London.

Bath is best known for its Roman Baths which you can visit although not to take a dip in. The water from the baths come from geothermal hot springs which bubble up into the baths and settle at a toasty 46C.

Bath - Roman Baths

The visit to the Roman Baths takes a couple of hours as you listen to your audio guide and take a step back underground through history to visit the baths, temples and historical artefacts within the museum.

The City of Bath was recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1987.
